The
CBR Journalism Club is an iniciative aligned with the
Strategies for Learning with the School Library, the
2022/2023 Priorities for School Libraries, and the
Student Profile as a Compulsory Schooling Graduate.
The Journalism Club explores three media: newspaper, with the school newspaper CBRTimes, radio, with the regular broadcasts of CBRádio, and television, with the creation of CBRTV. The student has contact with all three, and can then choose to deepen one or more that are preferable to them.
Through the creation of these news content, it is intended that students:
- Develop their Portuguese language, text structuring, spelling and grammar skills.
- Work on orality, posture, and the transmission of ideas and information.
- Recognize the differences between newspaper, radio and television news content.
- Learn how to search for true information, recognize fake news and misinformation.
- Be aware of the importance of journalism for the maintenance of a free and democratic society.
