Tomás is a grade 6 student at Colégio Bernardette Romeira and a Karate athlete at Karate Clube de Faro. He climbed to 15 national podiums in the last three seasons (2017/2018, 2018/2019 and 2019/2020), and achieved five first places, four second places, and six third places in competitions from North to South Portugal.

Internationally, he was placed 1st in Single U14 Kata at Libertas Italia 2020, on June 4th 2020, and 2nd in Single U13 Kata at the New Generation E-Tournament Montenegro 2020, on May 24th 2020.
