On Wednesday, July 15, CBR's Summer Break Activities took Groups 2 and 3 students to the University of Algarve's Centro de Ciências do Mar - CCMAR (Marine Sciences Center), to explore the researchers' work up close. They participated in practical outdoor activities, such as the extraction of DNA from strawberries, the effect of acidification/water pollution on Bivalvia and microorganisms, and the effects of microplastics on marine organisms and the Ria Formosa ecosystem.
Many thanks to CCMAR for a very well spent morning!
