On October 18th and 19th, CBR Years 5-9 students visited the Sal-Gema (Rock Salt) Mines in Loulé, an underground mine with more than 45 kilometers at a depth of 230 meters.
Under the guidance of the Mine guides, students were able to get to know the old and new mining processes, the importance and use of rock salt over time, and the numerous galleries that make up the only visitable mine in Portugal under the sea level.
