October 17th is the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty: a date coined by the UN in 1992, following a demonstration by 100,000 people in Paris against hunger and poverty in 1987.
At CBR, from October 19th to 23rd, students from Grades 1 to 9 were challenged to think about poverty: what is it? What causes it? How do we fight it? After reflecting in class, the students visited the board "How would you end poverty?" to write down their ideas.
