On Tuesday, July 7, we, Grade 1 and 2 students from Colégio Bernardette Romeira, went to visit the Center for the Recovery and Investigation of Wild Animals (RIAS), in the Ria Formosa Natural Park.
We released a Common Kestrel Falcon, which had arrived at RIAS in early June. This bird came from Silves and was between 3 and 4 months old. The falcon was very weak and hardly ate.
At RIAS they took good care of him, he is now healed and already eats rats and insects.
When we released the falcon we were happy. He was full of energy, we felt that he liked to fly free again.
